Peer Review Process

The LASU International Journal of Arts and Social Science Education (IJJASSED) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of all published research. The process includes the following steps:

  1. Initial Submission and Editorial Check
  • Upon submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial office to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, formatting, and basic ethical requirements.
  • Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines are returned to authors for correction or may be rejected at this stage.
  1. Assignment to Editor
  • Compliant manuscripts are assigned to an appropriate handling editor with expertise in the relevant field.
  • The editor evaluates the manuscript’s novelty, significance, and suitability for peer review.
  1. Double-Blind Peer Review
  • Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent to at least two independent reviewers.
  • Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.
  • Reviewers provide detailed feedback on originality, methodology, clarity, ethical compliance, and contribution to the field.
  1. Revision and Re-Review
  • Authors receive reviewer comments and are requested to revise their manuscripts accordingly.
  • Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the reviewers and/or the handling editor to ensure all concerns have been adequately addressed.
  1. Editorial Decision
  • Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
  • Accept
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Request major revisions
  • Reject
  1. Final Acceptance and Production
  • Once the manuscript meets all review requirements, it is formally accepted for publication.
  • Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, formatting, and typesetting before being published in the journal’s electronic and print editions.
