Peer Review Process
The LASU International Journal of Arts and Social Science Education (IJJASSED) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of all published research. The process includes the following steps:
- Initial Submission and Editorial Check
- Upon submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial office to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, formatting, and basic ethical requirements.
- Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines are returned to authors for correction or may be rejected at this stage.
- Assignment to Editor
- Compliant manuscripts are assigned to an appropriate handling editor with expertise in the relevant field.
- The editor evaluates the manuscript’s novelty, significance, and suitability for peer review.
- Double-Blind Peer Review
- Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent to at least two independent reviewers.
- Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.
- Reviewers provide detailed feedback on originality, methodology, clarity, ethical compliance, and contribution to the field.
- Revision and Re-Review
- Authors receive reviewer comments and are requested to revise their manuscripts accordingly.
- Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the reviewers and/or the handling editor to ensure all concerns have been adequately addressed.
- Editorial Decision
- Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Accept with minor revisions
- Request major revisions
- Reject
- Final Acceptance and Production
- Once the manuscript meets all review requirements, it is formally accepted for publication.
- Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, formatting, and typesetting before being published in the journal’s electronic and print editions.
