About the Journal

The LASU Journal of Peace and Security Studies (LAJOPSS)is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published annually by the Centre for Peace and Security Studies, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria. The journal provides a scholarly platform for the dissemination of high-quality research that advances theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented debates in peace and security studies.
LAJOPSS publishes original research articles, review papers, and scholarly analyses in areas including, but not limited to, peacebuilding and peacekeeping, conflict prevention, management and resolution, war and strategic studies, diplomacy, security governance, military and defence studies, and related interdisciplinary fields.
The journal places particular emphasis on research addressing peace, strategic, and security issues within Africa, while also welcoming comparative and global perspectives from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States of America. LAJOPSS encourages contributions that offer innovative insights, rigorous methodology, and practical policy relevance for academics, practitioners, and decision-makers engaged in peace and security affairs.
