About the Journal

AIM AND SCOPE

The Lagos State University Journal of Engineering, Science and Technology (JEST) is a biannual multidisciplinary peer-reviewed TETFUND sponsored journal published by the Lagos State University.  It is dedicated to advancing knowledge while acting as an open forum for cross-fertilization of ideas among scholars dedicated to the task of expanding frontiers of knowledge through research. It is an important and reliable source of current information in the fields of biological, chemical, physical, chemical to act as an Its core interest lies in issues concerning Engineering, Science and Technology.

It accepts empirical and philosophical research materials from the fields of Agriculture, Engineering, Science, Technology, Transport and allied disciplines. A sound academic paper will always be accepted in the prescribed format. The journal is published biannually in January and July.

Peer review

All papers submitted for publication will be reviewed following a double anonymized review process. Submitted papers would be initially assessed by the editors to ensure its fitness for publishing followed by a second assessment by an expert on the scientific quality. The decision as to whether article are accepted or rejected will be taken by our editors. In a situation where the paper is written by an editor, his family or close colleagues, the peer review would be handled by another individual.

The Lagos State University retains copyright to all articles published in this journal including the rights to electronic publishing. Written permissions are required from the Editor of LASU-JEST on behalf of the Lagos State University, to reproduce elsewhere any article published in the journal.

Authors have sole responsibility for obtaining permission to use copyright         materials in their articles from the respective publishers.
